Amanda Sellet is a novelist and essayist who writes about young adult literature and the history of books. She is the author of the novels A Tangle of Gold, A Tangle of Knots, and The Revolution of Birdie Randolph, and the nonfiction book A Lit Fuse: The Provocative Life of Harlan Ellison. She has been a columnist for The New York Times Book Review and has written for The New Yorker, The Atlantic, The Washington Post, and The Guardian.
