Andrew McCarthy is an American actor, travel writer, and television director. He is best known for his roles in the 1980s films Pretty in Pink, St. Elmo's Fire, and Less Than Zero. He has also directed episodes of Orange Is the New Black, Gossip Girl, and The Blacklist.
