Arthur Golden is an American author best known for his 1997 novel Memoirs of a Geisha, which was adapted into a feature film in 2005. He is a graduate of Harvard University and studied Japanese history and literature. He has written several other books, including a historical novel about the life of a Japanese businessman, and a collection of essays on Japanese culture.
