Danielle Dutton

Danielle Dutton is an American writer, editor, and publisher, known for her works that blend fiction, biography, and essay elements to explore themes such as creativity, art, and women's experiences. Born in 1975, she gained recognition for her novel "Margaret the First," which fictionalizes the life of 17th-century English duchess and writer, Margaret Cavendish. Dutton is also a co-founder of the small press Dorothy, a publishing project, which is dedicated to works of fiction or near fiction or about fiction, mostly by women. Her style is noted for its poetic prose and innovative narrative techniques. In addition to her writing accomplishments, Dutton teaches at Washington University in St. Louis.
