Fred Burke is an American author and illustrator best known for his children's book series, The Adventures of Benny and Penny. He has also written and illustrated a number of other books, including The Adventures of Captain Underpants and The Adventures of Benny and Penny in the Big Noisy City. Burke is a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design and lives in Massachusetts.
