Gabby Rivera is an American author and comic book writer. She is best known for writing the critically acclaimed comic book series America, which follows the story of a young Latina superhero from the Bronx. She is also the author of Juliet Takes a Breath, a coming-of-age novel about a queer Puerto Rican girl from the Bronx who moves to Portland, Oregon to intern with her favorite feminist author. Rivera is an advocate for LGBTQ+ rights and is passionate about creating stories that reflect the Latinx community.
