Gordon D. Fee is an eminent New Testament scholar and an ordained minister of the Assemblies of God (USA). Born on May 12, 1934, Fee is well-known for his work in textual criticism and exegesis, particularly within the Pentecostal tradition. He earned his PhD from the University of Southern California and has taught at several theological institutions, including Regent College in Vancouver, Canada, where he was a long-time professor of New Testament studies. Gordon Fee is perhaps best known for his contributions to biblical hermeneutics, the study of the principles of interpretation concerning the books of the Bible. His popular works include "How to Read the Bible for All Its Worth" (co-authored with Douglas Stuart), which provides a guide to understanding and applying biblical texts, and "New Testament Exegesis: A Handbook for Students and Pastors," which gives practical guidance for interpreting New Testament Scripture. In addition to his teaching and writing, Fee has been involved in the revision of the New International Version (NIV) of the Bible and has authored numerous scholarly articles and commentaries. His extensive research and insightful commentary have made a significant impact on the study and understanding of the New Testament.
