Hannu Rajaniemi

Hannu Rajaniemi is a Finnish author of science fiction and fantasy, best known for his Jean le Flambeur series. Born on March 9, 1978, in Ylivieska, Finland, Rajaniemi earned a Ph.D. in mathematical physics from the University of Edinburgh. He has a background in mathematics and science, which heavily influences his writing, known for its complex, idea-driven plots and inventive world-building. Rajaniemi's debut novel, "The Quantum Thief," was published in 2010 and quickly gained acclaim for its originality and challenging narrative structure. It was followed by two sequels, "The Fractal Prince" and "The Causal Angel," which completed the trilogy. His work is characterized by a blend of post-singularity concepts, quantum mechanics, and complex technological futures, often combined with elements of traditional storytelling and myth.
