J. H. Markert is an American author and illustrator of children's books, best known for her book, The Night Before Christmas in Alabama. She has also written and illustrated other titles such as The Night Before Christmas in Georgia, The Night Before Christmas in Tennessee, and The Night Before Christmas in Kentucky.
