Karen Russell is an American author and short story writer. She won the 2012 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction for her novel Swamplandia! Her other works include the novel Vampires in the Lemon Grove, the story collection St. Lucy's Home for Girls Raised by Wolves, and the novella Sleep Donation. She is known for her imaginative and surreal stories, often set in the American South.
