Kathleen Hanna

Kathleen Hanna is an American musician, feminist activist, and punk zine writer best known for her significant role in the Riot Grrrl movement and her work as the lead singer of the punk band Bikini Kill and later the dance-punk group Le Tigre. Born on November 12, 1968, Hanna became an influential figure in the alternative music scene during the 1990s, using her art to address issues such as patriarchy, misogyny, and violence against women. She is an outspoken advocate for women's rights and has been involved in various activist causes throughout her career. Her energetic performances and do-it-yourself ethos have been inspirational to many fans and have helped to shape feminist punk music and culture.
