Kathryn Lasky is an American author of children's books, best known for her Guardians of Ga'Hoole fantasy series. She has also written non-fiction and historical fiction, often focusing on Jewish themes. Her books have won numerous awards, including the Newbery Honor, the Christopher Award, and the Washington Post–Children's Book Guild Nonfiction Award.
