Laurence Rees is an award-winning historian, documentary filmmaker, and author of several books on the history of World War II. He is best known for his work as the creator and writer of the BBC documentary series Auschwitz: The Nazis and the Final Solution. His other works include The Dark Charisma of Adolf Hitler and World War II: Behind Closed Doors. He has also written extensively on the Holocaust and other topics related to World War II.
