Mary Wollstonecraft

Mary Wollstonecraft (1759-1797) was an English writer and philosopher who is best known for her pioneering work A Vindication of the Rights of Woman (1792). She was a major advocate of the rights of women and argued that women should be allowed to receive an education and pursue their own interests. She was a major influence on the feminist movement of the 19th and 20th centuries.
