Paul Johnston is a British author known predominantly for his crime fiction novels. Born on April 25, 1957, he has penned several series, the most notable of which is the Quint Dalrymple series—a collection of dystopian crime stories set in a future version of Edinburgh. Johnston's work often features intricate plots, well-developed characters, and a blend of genres that can include elements of mystery, political intrigue, and science fiction. Johnston studied at the University of Oxford and the University of Edinburgh, where he took a postgraduate degree in ancient Greek studies. Before becoming a full-time writer, he held various jobs, including professional poker player and journalist.
