Richard Flanagan is an Australian novelist, playwright, and non-fiction writer. He is best known for his Booker Prize-winning novel The Narrow Road to the Deep North (2014). His other works include Death of a River Guide (1994), Gould's Book of Fish (2001), The Unknown Terrorist (2006), and Wanting (2008). He has also written several works of non-fiction, including And What Do You Do, Mr Gable? (2005) and The Sound of One Hand Clapping (1998).
