Robert W. Chambers (1865-1933) was an American novelist and artist. He is best known for his collection of short stories, The King in Yellow, which influenced the horror and fantasy genres. He wrote several novels and collections of short stories, as well as plays, poetry, and non-fiction works. His work often explored the supernatural, and he is credited with inventing the "weird fiction" genre.
