A like new, hardcover collection of yummy baked goods. Some classic recipes (think carrot cake and cornbread) and some more unique offerings (toffee latte nut bars anyone?). This book is a nice little collection of recipes with each one having a full page colour photo alongside it. While sometimes you appreciate a cookbook that comes with a story, this is a no frills approach to baking. No waxing poetic about baking in the same pan that Granny baked in and no heart-tugging missives about how the author loved cutting the first slice of Dad’s warm banana bread. Not that there’s anything wrong with those books but to be clear, this book is not that. This is a book of recipes for baked goods. It has photos. It has barely been used and is like new, because I like pretty cookbooks more than I like baking new things.
