This survey of art and architecture in Vienna, from Roman times to the present acquaints the reader with the highways and byways of Vienna‘s urban fabric, with the works created in the city by painters, sculptures and designers, and with the people and institutions who commissioned them. The book contains more than 70 illustrations, most of them in color. Martina Pippal teaches Art History at The University of Vienna.
