This book expands the landscape of a black Texan family and explores the effects of inherited trauma and intergenerational violence. I'm incredibly interested in reading this one day, but I can't wait for it to go to a new home now as you can see there is a small imperfection on the cover, but it is well worth this incredible novel which I am certain deserves more attention than it has gotten. :)
