While this is a fictional story, it is based on the real women in the Women’s Royal Naval Service (WRNS or Wrens). There’s action of course with the war, but also romance, and has two timelines for Wrens in WWI and WWII that it goes back and forth between. Great book for any fans of books with women empowerment and fans of historical fiction for both world wars!
