Kerry heard him, began to turn, saw Aaron sprawling toward her, and instinctively jumped back. Aaron fell flat on his face, with people stopping to laugh at him. He lay there for a second, then still on his stomach, looked up at Kerry, who looked back with an expression that combined sympathy, annoyance, and something else... was it fear?
