Stephen King’s Desperation is a horror novel published in 1996. The story follows a group of travelers who, while journeying along Nevada’s desolate Highway 50, are abducted by Collie Entragian, the deputy of the mining town of Desperation. They soon discover that Entragian is possessed by an ancient evil entity known as Tak, which can control both humans and animals. The captives must confront this malevolent force to survive.
