Born in 1938, Nora crocker grew up in suburban Kansas City in a small house with her mother, father, sister and brother. After graduating from Shawnee mission high School in 1956, she married Jack Redding in 1958. She graduated from the University of Kansas in 1916 moved to Denver in 1963. Nora Redding worked an education for nearly 25 years, the first 16 of which were spent in the classroom. After earning her Masters in education in Colorado University in 1985, she worked as an administrator, and then helped spearhead a district wide shift to performance-based education in Aurora public schools in colorado. She was honored for her work, being named to phi beta kappa and the Colorado governor's task force on education. She received numerous awards from Aurora public schools during her tenure with the district.
