Here we have a vintage, possibly antique, edition of Ben-Hur, A Tale of the Christ, by Lew Wallace. It was published by Literary Classics Inc, of New York, but does not have a publishing date on the copyright page. I have seen other copies of this edition dated to the 1940's, so it could date from that period. There are no rips, creases or markings inside or out. The binding is loosened a little with age, but is still solid and reliable. The spine is slightly cocked. The pages show obvious toning. There is a water stain at the top of the spine, which is visible on pretty much every page. The hardcover boards have some edge wear, and slightly bumped corners.
