Here we have a hardcover first edition of Fire Watch, by Connie Willis, published by Blue Jay Books in 1985. This short story collection includes twelve science fiction stories, including the title story, which won both the Hugo and Nebula awards, and laid the foundation for the Oxford Time Travelers series. The spine and hinges are strong. Cloth-bound hardcover boards show obvious wear. This is a former library book, and has a library stamp on the title page, and a library card envelope glued inside the back cover. The dust jacket was apparently removed at some point, the info from the inside flaps was cut out, laminated, and the glued inside the front cover.
