Seller Description
Hello, and Thank You for looking! Up for sale today is a First Edition, First Printing Hardcover of the landmark and influential work of gothic vampire horror, INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE by bestselling author Anne Rice! This was Rice's debut novel and launched her Vampire Chronicles series of novels, which (like this work) has been adapted into film, television series and comic book formats. The copyright page lists a publication date of 1976 and states "First Edition" on the copyright page and lists no subsequent printings, indicating a First Printing. Other points of interest include boards quarter bound in black cloth with gold stamping and a red stain to the top edges of the pages. This is an Ex-Library copy and contains the usual damage and wear, including library stamps, markings and residue from tape and glue where the dustjacket was at one point affixed to the boards. Please see photos for some (but not all) affected areas. The pocket for the library card holder remains intact at the rear of the book. The Dustjacket is in Fair condition as well. While there are no tears, the foil exterior has some wear & crinkling throughout, as is typical of foil covers. Any library labels or stickers appear to have been removed without additional damage. The $8.95 price is intact and unclipped. While a well-used copy, this is an excellent chance to add a rare First Printing of one of the most influential works of gothic horror to your shelf at a relatively affordable price!
