The Dark Tower III: The Waste Lands is a dark fantasy novel by Stephen King, published in 1991. It is the third book in the Dark Tower series and is about Roland, the last gunfighter, and his quest for the Dark Tower. The book is inspired in part by Robert Browning's narrative poem.
