Seller Description
publisher: M. A. Lachaga, ArgentinaSoftcover First Edition. Najdorf and L Steiner win in a field of 17. 127 games. Limited edition of 220. Many games not in databases. 60 pages. There is an 8 page introduction about Miguel Najdorf, with a detailed tournament record through 1969. This copy is ex libris Manhattan chess club. See the red sticker on the photo of the spine. The sticker does not indicate Manhattan chess club, but their collection was sold when the club disbanded and I bought this copy at that time. [Publication Year: 1969] This copy is water damaged so there is warping of some of the pages, but they open freely and there is no loss of text. The text is in German, easily readable with the Google translate app. Many games are annotated, some in great depth. The notes are by Eliskases, Becker, Barcza, Szabo et al. The lowest price I could find as of early April 2025 was $15; my price reduced because of condition. I paid $24 for this book in the 1990s. Own a piece of chess history!
