James Dobson, Ph.D., is Associate Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Southern California School of Med-icine, and Director of Behavioral Research in the Division of Child Devel-opment, Childrens Hospital of Los Angeles. He also serves as co-director of a nationwide Collaborative Study of Children Treated for Phenylketonuria (PKU), a ten-year investigation being conducted in fifteen major medical centers in the United States. Dr. Dobson is personally committed to the integrity of the American family, and has dedicated his professional life to its preservation. His first book for parents and teachers, Dare to Discipline, has now sold a half million copies, and his second, Hide or Seek, is also a national best seller. He is a licensed psychologist in the State of California, and is a popular speaker in family life seminars, churches, and schools throughout the country. As a devoted Christian husband and the father of two children, Dr. Dobson's own family ranks at the top of his system of priorities and values. A popular television guest, Dr. Dobson has made several appearances on the "Dinah Shore Show," "A.M.
