This booklet contains 185 games, mostly annotated, most from the games of the Amsterdam IBM tournament in 1971. Please see the photo of the cross table for the list of strong participants. Annotators of the games include Keres, Smyslov, Browne, Evans, Uhlmann, Gligoric and Keene. There are four pages of photos, a two page opening monograph on the Taimanov Sicilian, selected games from the world junior championship, a few selected games from the Rostov-on-Don tournament with players, including Stein, Spassky, Taimanov and Tal. The Candidates Match between Petrosian and Korchnoi is covered with notes to most games by Soviet Grandmasters including Polugayevsky, Stein, Tal and I. Zaitsev. There are also 12 games of Bobby Fischer’s from the 1971 Manhattan blitz tournament, including the game against Soltis which is not present in many databases. These Fischer games are not annotated. The book is in excellent condition with a slight almost imperceptible crease (it appears much worse in the photos than in reality) in the front and back cover; otherwise I would describe it as like new.
