This 3 volume set, published in 1885, is in good condition. The covers all have the typical edge wear and corner bumping of 140 year old books, vol. 2 has a 5/8" tear at the bottom of the spine, much of the gilding has worn off on the spines, and some on the front covers. The pages are heavily tanned, but quite readable, vol. 1 has a minor tear on the title page, vol. 2 has 3 torn pages and vol. 3 has two, but all content is readable. Hard to find set, especially in this condition.
