I actually was expecting more from this book. I love how the characters are diverse and you read a lot about Puerto Rico, but I felt some scenes were confusing and went off in a tangent. Especially from the moms POV and all the political turmoil.

Xóchitl González's debut novel, Olga Dies Dreaming, is nothing short of excellent entertainment.
