This is a very sad and informative book. Can't even imagine how horrible it was for the Spanish people during this time. It was just little slow and the switching between so many pov's did get a little tiresome.

I really enjoyed the multiple storylines in this novel. I liked how it wrapped up in the end, but I wanted more from Puri. I don't typically like YA books anymore, but I think Sepetys does such a great job making the characters believable and dimensional. I'd recommend this historical fiction!
