Marsha M. Linehan is an American psychologist who developed Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), a cognitive-behavioral therapy for the treatment of mental health disorders such as borderline personality disorder and post-traumatic stress disorder. She is a professor of psychology at the University of Washington and the director of the Behavioral Research and Therapy Clinics. Linehan has written several books on DBT, including Cognitive-Behavioral Treatment of Borderline Personality Disorder and Skills Training Manual for Treating Borderline Personality Disorder.
