Emily Dickenson’s poetry defies categorization because she broke with traditional verse techniques. She was dating and innovative in form, meter, subject matter and imagery. Dickinson created her own individual and visionary brand of poetry that expressed her wide-ranging intellectual and emotional interests. This collection contains selections from her three original volumes of poetry, as well as The Single Hound, a subsequent collection published in 1914.
